Engineer sets table mics and mixer for podcast recording.

What the studio rate covers

Podcast recording is €96 per hour including studio and engineer — table mics, routing, basic monitoring and export of a session mix or simple per-voice tracks as agreed. Edit-only without recording: €62 per hour.

Service page: podcast recording. Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00; closed Sunday. Evening sessions by appointment.. Directions: U4 Pilgramgasse station (about 4 minutes on foot). Bus 13A stop Schönbrunner Straße / Mittersteig. From Wien Hauptbahnhof take U4 towards Hütteldorf to Pilgramgasse.. Questions: contact or 01 545 08 23.

Define the format

Choose solo, two-person interview or a three-to-four guest roundtable. Set target length (e.g. 35–45 minutes raw for a 30-minute show), segments (intro, body, outro) and whether stings are live or added in edit.

Send guests a short agenda and ground rules (phones silent, no typing on the table). Narrated intros from a booth can use vocal recording separately — not required for normal table talk.

Table tech and comfort

Separate mics and optional headphones keep voices clean even when everyone laughs. Avoid clinking glass on the table; water in stable cups is fine. Rustling paper near a mic also picks up easily — use thicker notebooks or pause before turning pages.

We have 6 headphone sets on site; guests who dislike self-monitoring can skip it. Loud keyboard typing during recording adds edit time — handwritten notes between segments work better.

Remote guests and hybrid

If someone cannot be in Wien, decide upfront whether they record locally elsewhere or everyone listens to a line in the room. Unplanned hybrid often means echo or doubled voices. We will say plainly what the table setup can and cannot fix — bad connectivity on site is not a studio problem.

Legal: consent from every speaker to record and publish; guest lists only as needed — see privacy policy.

Edit, chapters and export

Light edit can run at €62 per hour: trim silence, rough assembly, WAV or MP3 export by agreement. Chapter marks for Apple Podcasts or Spotify need your timecodes — we do not invent them without a list.

Spoken-word loudness targets differ from music masters; shows with heavy music stings may need mixing and master delivery formats for those elements.

Practical Vienna notes

Many teams arrive via U4 Pilgramgasse — allow time for bags and briefing. Evening slots suit after-work guests; Saturday until Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 10–16. Parking in Margareten is tight; public transport is often faster.

Corporate shows with internal approval: name one approver and a 2-day feedback window so edit is not stuck. B2B payment term 14 days possible.

Pre-booking checklist

  • Format, target length, guest count (max 4 at the table).
  • Agenda to guests; publication consent.
  • Studio only or plus edit hours.
  • Export format and chapter timecodes ready.
  • Related: prepare your vocal session for long monologues.

Book via contact form, [email protected] or 01 545 08 23. Raw archive 18 months per terms.
