Podcast recording
Two to four voices around a table, stable levels and a flow that does not pit conversation against tech — Lukas Brenner and the team handle setup, recording and optional editing.

Podcasts succeed when every voice stays intelligible without listeners riding the volume knob. In our brighter studio corner in Margareten we arrange table mics, monitoring and routing so you focus on content — not cables or clicks.
Podcast recording at Nocentcetra suits editorial teams, company interview shows, narrative series authors and creators moving out of the kitchen into a proper room. Planning tips: Plan your podcast setup; for musical segments see Vocal recording or Band recording.
Process
Setup
Microphones, pop filters, guest headphones if needed, level and noise check before the first line.
Record
Multitrack per voice, markers on retakes. Breaks and chapter marks on request.
Edit and export
Optional basic edit (trim silence, smooth bumps) at €62 per edit hour. Export MP3 or WAV as agreed.
Table instead of booth
Unlike Vocal recording in an iso booth, podcast hosts sit together at the table — eye contact and conversational rhythm stay natural. We use directional or small condenser mics depending on voice and room noise, always to separate tracks so editing and level fixes remain possible later.
The table area seats up to 4 people comfortably; larger panels need a different layout or the live room. Window light and panels keep the mood relaxed without the typical basement-podcast tone.
Tech and monitoring
Signals feed through our 24-channel desk to the control room; each voice has its own path with HPF and gentle limiting on the way — a safety net, not a finished broadcast mix. Guests can use one-ear monitoring when intro music or a remote guest on Zoom joins (hybrid only by prior plan, not walk-in default).
Phones on airplane mode; mugs away from mics. Details that sound trivial cause most retakes. Checklists for editors and guests live in Plan your podcast setup.
Before and during the session
Allow 15–20 minutes for setup even if you arrive on time — voices change from the first test to take one. We run level and room checks, then a low-pressure warm-up before you roll episode one or your interview block.
When someone flubs a paragraph, re-read immediately rather than fixing in edit — it saves €62 hours later. Need chapter markers for apps? We set session markers or deliver a timecode list after recording.
Basic edit vs full production
Studio rate €96 (incl. 20% VAT) does not include heavy editing — only recording, track organisation and raw export. Book edit time separately at €62 per hour: typical tasks are removing pauses, filler words, keyboard clicks and simple level matching between speakers.
No sound design, elaborate music beds or Spotify mastering — that is Mixing or Mastering. If you only need clean multitracks and cut yourself, skip edit hours. Booked edit packages include 2 concrete feedback rounds.
Formats and publishing
Delivery as WAV for further work or 320 kbps MP3 for direct upload — specify upfront. Loudness follows common podcast platform practice without aggressive limiting; musical intros can be finished in Mastering if you supply stems.
Metadata and show notes stay with your host. We match file naming to your convention. Multitrack archive 18 months then deletion per Privacy policy — export copies in time.
Pricing and booking
Studio €96 per hour covers room, table setup, engineer and multitrack capture. Edit €62 per hour is post work, often without you on site. Season blocks for series are quoted individually — often better than chaining single hours.

Good fit — and less so
Good fit: interview shows, co-hosted formats, internal comms podcasts, education series, audiobook chapters with narrator at the table. Less ideal: whisper ASMR, loud audience panels (room limits), remote-only production with no one on site — other workflows suit that better.
Guests from age 16 with consent; corporate shows need brand and personality rights cleared before recording. See also Disclaimer and Terms.

FAQ
Can we record Zoom guests?
Hybrid sessions are possible when planned in advance — not as a spontaneous add-on. Quality depends on the remote guest's connection; we recommend a local backup recording on their side.
How long should we book?
Plan 50–55 minutes of recording per booked hour — setup and breathers need space. A 60-minute episode rarely fits in exactly one studio hour.
Do you host RSS feeds?
No — we deliver audio files. Hosting, RSS and show notes are with your provider. FAQ outlines general steps if helpful.
Can we bring our own gear?
Phone USB mics rarely beat the table setup. Special mics by arrangement — confirm compatibility first. Default is in-house gear included.
What happens to raw tracks?
Multitracks are kept 18 months then deleted. Download copies promptly; long seasons need your own backup.
Is a music intro included?
Short intros from your file can be played in; producing or recording music is Vocal recording or Mixing — priced separately.
