Mixing
We mix your recordings in our Margareten control room — from first balance to a release-ready stereo mix, with a clear workflow and fixed prices including VAT.

Mixing at Nocentcetra is for artists, producers and labels who need a focused, punchy mix from DAW exports or studio multitracks — without spending weeks on faders yourself. We work in a treated room on a hybrid desk; typical projects are singles, EPs and album tracks in pop, hip-hop, rock and electronic styles.
Send material remotely or book attended sessions in Wien. We agree references, level targets and delivery formats up front; for budgeting and stem counts see plan your mix budget. If you still need capture, vocal recording or band recording in our rooms feeds cleanly into mastering later.
Process
Brief and quote
Send track list, stem count and target date via contact or [email protected]. Within 2 business days you receive a quote with a fixed fee or hour estimate, incl. 20% VAT. Larger projects may require a 30% deposit per terms and conditions.
Files and QC
Deliver WAV or AIFF (24-bit, project sample rate), tidy stems or a full session archive. We check phase, clipping and missing tracks; open points are cleared by email or 01 545 08 23.
Mix and feedback
We mix offline or with you in the room (attended). You get an MP3 preview; up to 2 revision rounds are included on track or stem packages when agreed in the brief.
Delivery and archive
Final stereo WAV (plus instrumental or acapella on request) via secure download. Project data is kept 18 months, then deleted unless agreed otherwise. B2B invoices: 14 days net.
Who this service is for
If tracks are already recorded but vocals sit behind the chorus, kick and bass fight, or the bridge drops too quiet, a dedicated mix is the sensible next step. We work with solo artists, bands after studio days and producers polishing demos.
You do not need a studio at home: many clients export stems from Logic, Ableton or Pro Tools and send them in. If you are unsure about quality, describe your setup in the enquiry — we will say honestly whether repair or re-recording makes more sense.
- Singles and album tracks before streaming release
- Remixes and instrumental versions
- Podcast beds or jingles with several layers
- Projects after band recording in our live room
Attended or remote
Offline mix: You upload, we mix and send previews. Ideal if you live outside Vienna or prefer async feedback.
Attended: You sit in the control room on our monitors. Billed at €98 incl. VAT per hour — useful for automation, effects and arrangement choices in real time.
Studio hours: Monday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00; closed Sunday. Evening sessions by appointment.. Getting here: U4 Pilgramgasse station (about 4 minutes on foot). Bus 13A stop Schönbrunner Straße / Mittersteig. From Wien Hauptbahnhof take U4 towards Hütteldorf to Pilgramgasse.. Evening slots by appointment.
What to prepare before upload
Good prep saves revision rounds. Please supply:
- All tracks or stems from bar zero, same sample rate and bit depth
- No heavy limiters on individual tracks — note bus processing
- A rough MP3 as a balance and FX reference
- Notes on tempo, key and problem spots (sibilance, brass tuning)
- List of deliverables (stereo, instrumental, TV mix)
More on stem counts and budget: mix budget guide. Recording questions: articles under guides.
What happens in the control room
After QC we set bus structure, panning and broad EQ. Vocals and drums lead because they carry the listen; then bass, guitars, keys and FX. Maria Kovacs and Stefan Hofer swap by genre and schedule — both know the 24-input path and the acoustics of our 4 rooms since 2019.
In attended sessions you can play references; we mix for musical intent and streaming reality, not loudest-master contests. Artistic calls stay yours; we implement cleanly — see disclaimer.
Deliverables and loudness
Default delivery is 24-bit WAV at project rate, without mastering limiting — ready for mastering. On request we also provide:
- Watermarked MP3 previews in the file name
- Instrumental and acapella stems
- DDP only when explicitly booked (otherwise mastering)
Streaming loudness is agreed in the brief; we do not force a fixed LUFS if you master elsewhere. Format notes: master delivery formats.
Pricing and billing
All rates include 20% VAT for consumers in Austria. B2B net amounts use the net figures in our system.
| Service | Price incl. VAT | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Stereo mix per track | €225 | Standard song up to ~60 tracks |
| Stem pack | €85 | Drums, bass, vocals, guitars, FX as groups |
| Attended per hour | €98 | Joint fine-tuning in the room |
Stem packs are per logical group (e.g. drum bus), not per microphone track. Extra songs or full remixes after the second feedback cycle are quoted by effort or a new track fee — stated in the confirmation.
Revisions and limits
Track and stem packages include 2 revision rounds when changes stay within balance, EQ, compression and FX agreed in the first brief. New parts, extra recordings or entirely new references count as scope growth and are re-quoted.
Not included: mastering, pitch correction as a rescue for weak takes, heavy editing (timing, comping), re-amping in the live room, or rights clearance. Pre-mix editing can be booked via services or hourly mix time.
We mix honestly: if a track is not usable, we say so before you pay — a short vocal session beats hiding problems in reverb.
Privacy, age and cancellation
Uploads and email are handled confidentially; see privacy policy. Cookie choices: (key ncnt_consent_v1, stored 182 days).
Orders from people under 16 need written consent from a guardian. Free cancellation of studio slots until 5 days before the date per terms; online-only mix jobs start after deposit, cancellation then follows work already done.

FAQ
How many tracks does the per-track price cover?
€225 covers typical pop/rock productions up to about 60 tracks. Much larger counts, orchestra or film stems are quoted individually — send a track list.
Can I mix only some stem groups?
Yes. €85 applies per agreed pack, for example drums plus bass only. You mix the rest or book additional packs.
How fast is the first mix?
With complete files and a confirmed order, offline mixes usually land in five to ten business days depending on load. Express only if the room is free — ask via contact.
What after two revision rounds?
Further rounds or a restart with a new reference are billed at €98 or a new track fee. That keeps budgets predictable — see also FAQ.
Do you deliver for vinyl?
The mix itself is medium-neutral. For vinyl cuts book mastering with the right target; details in master formats.
